I love sushi and there are hardly any sushi places in Merced. This one is probably the best one around here. If you're craving sushi, this place will hit the spot. Don't bother with any other sushi place in Merced to be disappointed, just come to this one and you'll be happy.

Decent sashimi/nigiri in a town with limited options. Honestly wasn't expecting very much but was very pleasantly surprised by the sushi itself. I thought the rice was slightly under done. Seafood was good and fresh, and service was attentive. I would like to try more option in the future here!

I've never been upset by the amount of protein I get on my rolls, definitely why I keep coming back. Prices went up recently, which is unfortunate but that's common everywhere. The Golden and Red Dragon rolls are my go-to

There is a sign saying short staffed. But with almost a full house we are getting good service. Our food came pretty quick. Very good tempura. Tuna rolls pretty small. Very little Wasabi. That's really just nit picking though. Come check this place out. Maybe I'll see you when I come back. Cause I'm commin back

Have been coming here for almost 8 years and they never disappoint. Busy Friday night and there was great and attentive customer service! Not only did I feel seen, but I didn't feel as though I was bothering anyone when I asked for anything during our dinner tonight. It was great, and such a clean atmosphere. We ordered a lot of food tonight and were not disappointed with that or the wine! Thank you for all being friendly with the gluten free transparency and options.

The Dragon roll has the one of my favorite rolls to eat at Sushi Cuisine! Service was quick and the food came out in a timely manner. The servers were attentive to anything that we needed help with. Even though it's a smaller space, it doesn't get loud and gives off a homey feel; especially with the Halloween decorations that were hung up.

Hey Sushi Cuisine, Ok confession, for a while I didn't think all that highly of you, just thought you were pretty average. I'm sorry!! But I always keep in mind that after living for decades in the bay area, I know my tastes are unfairly spoiled. Now that many months have passed and I've gone a few times, I definitely would recommend you for those in the area mainly for one reason. Those lunch bentos. They are an excellent deal for what you get. I say this hoping I don't hype it up and you end up raising the prices, but I think it's the best lunch deal in town (yes, teriyaki don is cheaper but their food is much poorer in quality). I usually get Chicken Katsu with you (not on menu, but same as tonkatsu). All those extra items (tempura, ca roll, etc) for that price isn't bad at all! I've tried other items like lion king, shrimp tempura, crazy horse, dragon roll, udon and others. They are all decent if you want your sushi fix. People just need to keep in mind we are way out here in Merced, not next to the ocean so judge the quality accordingly. If people want super high-end stuff go drive to the bay, if they want a solid sushi fix, then you are the place to go. So keep up the good work, don't raise your prices and people will keep coming!
